Back in November last year I found out that the design I submitted for the Lincoln Knights’ Trail was one of the 35 selected. The trail which launches in May celebrates the 800th anniversary of the Battle of Lincoln and the sealing of the Charter of the Forest.
The full design is still under wraps but it was inspired by forests and the animals and birds found within them. I’d like to thanks St Mark’s Shopping Centre for sponsoring my knight and giving me the opportunity to paint him. He will be revealed in full at the end of the month, but in the meantime here is a little sneaky peek.
You will be able to follow the trail around Lincoln from 20th May to 30th September 2017. The 35 sculptures will then be auctioned to raise money for The Nomad Trust, a local charity that supports the homeless community.
