I’m thrilled to announce that one of my designs is currently being reproduced as a mural in my home city. Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) are running a project to brighten up the city by filling unused, empty walls with artwork. Four murals have already been painted and another three have now been commissioned.
In 2012 Norwich became the sixth UNESCO City of Literature. Continuing on this theme, the mural project is titled, Norwich – City of Stories. I don’t want to give too much away before the finished mural is unveiled but my design has been inspired by Art Deco travel posters and is very bold, bright and colourful!
I visited the site this week and it was fascinating to learn a little more about the process of transferring a small image to such a large space. I am glad I left the painting to the professionals as it turns out straight lines and drainpipes don’t mix too well!
